About Nija Wiggins
My name is Nija D. Wiggins; I am a mother and the proud Owner of Corneey’s a food truck based in Philadelphia. Growing up in North Philadelphia with my parents I loved writing music and cooking. My family kept me well rounded by introducing me to music and dance just as long as my academics were on point.
My most joyous moments were always at the table, surrounded by family and food; Especially on Sundays when all of my cousins and aunts would gather down 28th Street at my grandmother’s (Momma Barlow’s) house. As soon as I got there I would jump at the opportunity to help cook and setup. My Aunt Juanita would always call me to assist her in catering gigs throughout the city and that was the spark to my restaurant idea.
In 2019, I finally decided to save up and execute. I planted my foot on gourmet corn on the cob and popcorn. Introducing a more fun and creative flare to vegetables becoming the star of the dish and everything else a side. Due to my love for various cuisines I Incorporated recipes that would satisfy a range of taste palettes.
I am thankful for the unending support and I’m diligent by paying it forward. I take pride in exceptional customer service by making sure that it feels like home every time you have a Corneey’s Experience. We’re that Support, We’re that Family, We’re Home……We’re Ear for You.”
